MAY 22nd   Members Evening – My Project – an evening for members to show any planned, ongoing or finished projects. Or alternatively, share with us your journey through photography starting with some of your earliest images: leading through to the present day.

JUNE 5th   Passion For Pictures – Chris Upton ARPS – This presentation has something for everyone with a broad selection of images from around the world and closer to home. The presentation contains many examples of how he works to develop the image in the field or in post processing to achieve the desired result.

JUNE 12th   Mid Week Outing – The Chevin – Another chance to discover the changing light at sunset from Surprise View.

JUNE 19th  Panel Pandemonium – Richard Bown ARPS and Monty Trent – Richard will show some of his panels and explain how and why he selects the images. Monty will then show how to produce panels in order to help you prepare your Summer Project.

JULY 3rd  Members Evening – Group critiques – details announced nearer the time.
* Hand in – the Annual Knockout competition images

JULY 10th   Members’ Outing – Plumpton Rocks – Once again we have been given exclusive access to the Rocks. See the LPS website for further information nearer the time. .

JULY 17th   Knockout competition . as usual the judging will be a lively event.

 

SEPT 4th   START OF WINTER PROGRAMME
DSLR Astrophotography: An Introduction – Dr Lee Sproats – The talk will detail how to begin astrophotography.  Lee will cover some basics of astronomy to give an overview of what is up in the night sky to photograph.  This will be followed by a look at different techniques and methods and what basic, simple and inexpensive equipment can be used.  Lee will bring a range of equipment so that demonstrations can be given and you can see the equipment up close.
